Art & Musicals - Week of Feb. 22nd

Cameron's social calendar really filled up this week!
Tuesday evening included an outing to Wellerwood School to participate in an arts project evening. Cam met lots of teachers that work with his favorite, Julie. The big boy got his hands full of pottery and paint in his first sculpting project. Luckily, for Chris and Jane, they will be receiving the finished project once the clay is "cooked" and returned. Cam also had a chance to play the drums, maracas, and even cymbals.

Cameron, Jane and Chris are so thankful for their friends and neighbors, the Raisch family. Not only are the four girls wonderful playmates for Cam, but they always make a point to invite the entire family to activities. Thursday evening was Megan Raisch's musical performance at Thornapple elementary. Chris & Jane weren't sure if Cameron would enjoy the louder music and crowds of people, but he really loved it!

Sunday was another gathering with the Raisch family to close out the Olympics. Everyone had so much fun watching all of the events and cheering on the USA. Now, it seems that we've started a tradition to host the Wii Olympics every Sunday at our house!

Piano Practice - Week of Feb. 15th

Cameron has had private piano lessons with his ever-talented Grandma and he definitely loves to play! Luckily, she has decided that Cam only need pay her for the lessons in kisses & snuggles!

With all of the snow outside, Cameron has been walking in his pacer in the basement, which by all accounts, is not very exciting. So, it was quite a treat for him and Chris & Jane to be able to get back out on the driveway in the crisp, fresh air. Cam no longer has a "seat" in the pacer and he's still walking like a champ.
The family and Annie have had lots of fun with their neighbor friends, the Raisch family.
Watching the Olympics and competing in "Wii Olympics" have been the favorite activities. Dessert eating was also on the list and Cameron couldn't resist trying out a handful of Cool Whip- he sure did enjoy that!

Now that Cam is moving around more, he loves to play a game of 'cat and mouse' with Stella. Fortunately for Cam, Stella is quite patient and tolerant of his curiousity!

Valentines & Chocolate - Week of Feb. 8th

Cameron received some super cute cards for Valentine's Day and a very special bear from Grandma. The bear plays "Sugar Pie" and Cam loves the music! Grandma also brought some very tasty chocolate cupcakes- Cam even shared some with his Dad...

Annie was a big help with Cameron this week while Jane finished a large project for work.

Over the weekend, good friends and neighbors, the Raisch' came over to watch the Olympics and eat together. Emma Raisch loves to play with Cam and they had fun pushing a ball back and forth to each other.

Cameron is definitely gaining more independence daily exploring his world and moving around.

He also has quite a funny sense of humor as proven when Jane was trying to keep Cam away from Annie's computer. Without looking at Cam, Jane said "Well Cam, I guess you better give Annie a smile..." and without skipping a beat, Cam looked over at Annie and put on his best cheesy grin!

Hugs and kisses to all from Cameron, Chris & Jane this Valentine's...

Boys Week - Week of Feb. 1st

It was a busy week in the Weatherford household...for all you faithful bloggers...apologies for the late posting! Cameron is pictured in his new Disney hoodie from his cool cuz, Coco, who he'll be able to visit with in just a few weeks!!

Jane had to fly out of state for work two days this week, so Chris, Annie, Grandma and Grandpa had lots of fun playing with Cam. Because the boys ruled the house, Chris couldn't resist having Cam join him in some Super Mario Bros. fun on the Nintendo Wii. Chris refers to this as Cam watching cartoons with him. Due to separate remotes, Cameron feels like he's controlling the game too!

Cameron's combat crawling has been taking him places around the house and has allowed him to explore on his own, including some things that he wouldn't normally have access to - like people's purses... his daily exercise now includes lots of combat crawling as well as walking in his pacer.

SuperBowl Sunday included a gathering with good friends and neighbors, the Raisch family and also our Annie. Patti supplied a delicous array of food and Steve made his special hot wings. All the kids and adults had a great time! Way to go Saints!!
